 어릴 때 즐겨 좋아 했던 팝송

살아온 길...그리고 살아가야 할 길

And now, the end is near.
자 이제, 마지막이 가까이 왔군.

And so I face the final curtain.
그래 난 최후를 마주하고 있지.

My friend, I'll say it clear.
친구여, 난 분명히 말하겠어.

I'll state my case of which I'm certain
내가 확신하는 나를 이야기할거야.

I've lived a life that's full
난 충만한 나의 인생을 살았네.

I traveled each and every highway
난 세상에 있는 모든 길을 여행했어지.

And more, much more than this
그런데, 이것보다 더, 훨씬 더 중요한 것은,

I did it my way.
난 나의 길을 갔던 것이야.

Regrets, I've had a few.
후회라……, 약간은 있었지.

But then again, too few to mention
아니 막상, 이야기로 꺼내려 하니 할게 없네.

I did what I had to do
난 내가 해야 할 일을 했어.

And saw it through without exemption
그리고 예외 없이 그것이 성취되는 것을 보았지.

I planned each chartered course.
난 각각의 보장된 코스를 계획했어

Each careful step along the byway
옆길을 따라서 발자국 하나도 조심하면서 말이야.

And more, much more than this
그리고 이보다 더,훨씬 더 중요한 것은,

I did it my way
바로 내 길을 갔다는 거지.

Yes, there were times, I'll sure you knew,
그래, 물론 자네도 알겠지만, 그런 시절도 있었지.

When I bit off more than I could chew
내가 씹을 수 있는 것보다 더 많이 입에 넣었던 적 말이야.

But through it all,
하지만 그것을 통하여,

when there was doubt,
의심이 생겼을 땐

I ate it up and spit it out
난 그것을 삼켜버렸고, 그러고  벧어내는 것이었지.

I faced it all and I stood tall
난 모든 것과 정면으로 맞섰고,

And did it my way
그것이 나의 길이었어.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
나는 사랑해 왔고, 웃고 울었네.

I've had my fill, my share of losing
난 실컷 가져도 보았고, 잃기도 했네.

And now, as tears subside
자 이제, 눈물들이 말라가니,

I find it all so amusing
이제 알겠네, 모두가 무척 즐거웠다는 것을.

To think I did all that
내가 살아온 모든 걸 돌아보니,

And may I say not in a shy way
난 부끄럽지 않게 말할 수 있다네

"아니, 아냐, 난 아냐,

I did it my way
난 나의 길로 갔어."

For what is a man, what has he got
한 사람이 존재하고, 그가 무엇을 했던간에

If not himself, then he has naught.
그 자신이 아니라면, 그는 장난친거야.

To say the things he truly feels
그가 진정으로 느끼는 것들을 말하면,

And not the words of one who kneels
무릎 꿇는 자의 변명들이 아닌,

The record shows I took the blows
나의 인생역정은 보여준다네, 난 폭풍을 만났고

and did it my way
그것을 나의 길로 갔다는 것을.

Yes, it was my way
그래, 그것이 나의 길이었어.
